This week we have been busy learning all about Amelia Earhart, a brave pilot who was the first woman to fly on her own across the Atlantic ocean! We have learnt what a biography is and are writing our own biographies about her amazing life! In Topic, we made our own planes and tested flying them – lots of them didn’t work, so we have been thinking about what materials are best suited to building an aeroplane that flies. In Maths, we have been practising drawing tens and ones which help us with our addition and subtraction. We have also been focusing on PSHE this week. We have been identifying different types of feelings that we might have and thinking about which ones make us feel nice and which ones don’t make us feel nice. We have also been coming up which strategies to help us cope with big feelings that we might have.
