Head of School update

Welcome back to Spring Term 2

I hope that you all had a chance to make the most of some of that lovely weather we had over the half term week – it certainly made a difference!

This week the children have returned full of their stories of walks and woodland adventures, time at home to relax and chill out, trips to the beach and the park and even visiting local attractions!  It’s been lovely to listen to all the different activities they have been up to.

The children have settled in fast after their break and have focussed hard on their learning.  We are seeing great effort and progress all around the school.

We have just launched our Extreme Reading challenge – we would love to see your pictures – we have already had a few come through and they are certainly setting the bar quite high. Remember all letters are posted on the website.

A group of our children participated in a sporting bowling event this week and we came first and second in different events, a great result.  Check out the picture below.  Well done everyone!

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Mental Health Week events, we raised £75.50.  Every little helps and we are very grateful for your support.

World Book Day – Thursday 2nd March – Don’t forget children can come in on Thursday wearing their PJ’s or dressed as their favourite fictional book character – don’t forget to bring in the book where the character is from.  We look forward to seeing all those book characters come to life!

We also have a special lunch menu on Word Book Day, please log onto school money before the end of the day to book.

Have a good week everyone!
