Welcome to Mundesley Infant School SRB for pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
We are a Special Resource Base for pupils in Key Stage 1 who require additional support in order for them to remain in mainstream education.
The process to request support is to first contact the SRB Lead Teacher, Mrs Lucy Cass by either email or phone:
srb@coastalfederation.com
01263 720401
Mrs Cass will be able to discuss the pupil you require support for and the level of provision that has already been put in place and why the support of the SRB would be appropriate. An observation will need to be carried out by the SRB Lead Teacher before a referral is considered at panel.
Peacock Garden
At the beginning of 2019, Mrs Cass applied for a grant from The Sugar Tax, and we were awarded £2,500 to change an unused sensory garden into the beautiful Peacock Garden. In our garden we have a Bell Tent which is full of soft and fluffy blankets and pillows, perfect for story time and snack time. A lovely handmade Mud Kitchen where many a delightful mud cake and pies have been made. The Maths Hut to make maths fun and engaging. Potion bottles, water play items, wooden building sets, bug hotels, small world play and lots of interesting, educational resources and sensory items. The garden allows us to have a continuous provision for the children and ensures we are always able to access outdoor learning opportunities. We follow the Norfolk Assessment Pathway Outdoor Curriculum and have developed an outside tuff table curriculum. It is a fabulous addition to our therapeutic provision and is enjoyed by the children and adults alike!!
