This week in Ruby Bridges Class we have learnt the new sounds; j, v, w and x along with the focus words; can, yes, like, they and said. In maths we have been looking at how to represent the number 4 and 5, looking at more and fewer and discussing a number sentence. In topic we have been re-telling the story of ‘What the ladybird heard’ and creating our own maps.

Year 1s have been busy learning the ai, ay, oi and oy sounds. Please don’t forget their weekly spellings go home on a Friday on google classroom and they are tested the following week. In maths the Year 1 children have been filling in missing ten frames and number sentences and looking at greater and less than. In English we have been writing lots of sentences and completed our independent writing piece.

We are all really enjoying our mini Muay Tai in PE, please make sure your child comes to school in their PE kit.

We have started our JONK certificates and this week’s certificate went to Elora for showing great Resilience. Well done Ruby Bridges, another fantastic week.
