We have had a brilliant week this week in Owl Class! We have finished our sentence stacker lessons for our Pinocchio story, and are looking forward to planning and writing our own stories based on Pinocchio next week! In maths, we have practiced subtraction bridging 10, and number bonds to 10. In Science, we explored food chains and made our very own hanging food chains- they look great and we had so much fun! In Phonics, we have learnt that ‘o‘ can make an /u/ sound (other, mother, some) and the grapheme ‘ey‘. Please can you practice the ‘el’, ‘il’ and ‘al‘ spelling rule in their spelling books, ready for their check next Friday.
Dare I say it, but it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We will shortly begin rehearsals for this year’s Nativity- the children will bring home their scripts so it would be most appreciated if they could practice their lines with you!
