What a fun and busy start we have had to this half term. We have started a new story in English, an alternative fairytale about the three little pigs, “Pigs Might Fly” by Jonathan Emmett and Steven Cox. In Maths we have began exploring bar models, making sure to use our knowledge about partitioning to help our understanding. Our afternoons have been spent exploring emotions. The children have been able to idenfity and show various different emotions using facial expressions and sounds. Next week the children will be visiting the local library. Can all parents and carers ensure that their children are bringing coats and appropriate footwear for both the library visit and for breaks/lunches – the British weather won’t stop us going outside!
