Happy New Year everyone! Neverland have settled back into school and are eager to begin our Spring term. We have started with exploring measure in Maths, starting a new story in English ‘Ossiri and the Bala Mengro’, by Richard O’Neill and Katharine Quarmby) and began our new topic for this term, ‘Way Down Under’. Our enquiry question for this topic is ‘how does being a part of a culture contribute to feelings of happiness?’. To kick start this new learning, we have been using our previous learning about maps and continents to find Australia and Alice Springs. We have sent home knowledge organisers for this topic so families can see what we will be learning. Homework for this topic has also been sent home. Please get in touch if you have any questions about our new topic/homework. Finally, please ensure your child is coming into school with their reading packs, water bottles and are dressed appropriately for the cold weather!
