|Michelle Obama Class has had another fabulous week of learning.|
We have written the sequel to the ’Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’ called the ‘The Fisherman’s Lunch’.
We have had lots of fun thinking of ways to stop the seagulls from eating more scrumptious lunches.
We have been using our recipes for ‘superb’ sentences to help us too.
In Maths Year 2’s have been finding addition and subtraction fact families for numbers to 10 and 20. Year 1’s have been introduced to part, part whole models and loved it! Please ask your child to explain what they are – they are becoming great experts.
We have continued with our science unit: ‘Everyday Materials’ and carried out an investigation as to what material would make the best raincoat for Mr Grinling. We decided it would be oilcloth.
In PSHE we have been looking at different emotions, how we can recognise and describe them. We now have happiness journals that we will be using everyday in school.
Children need to come to school in their PE kit on Mondays. This includes tracksuit bottoms, a jumper, socks and trainers (we will be doing PE outside- and it’s getting rather chilly now!)
