Jesse Owens Weekly class update 02 Oct

This week in Jesse Owens class we have investigated the seagulls in the story ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’, and have been able to write some fantastic sentences using amazing vocabulary as well as capital letters and full stops! In maths we have been comparing numbers using the terms ‘greater than’, ‘less than’ and ‘equal to’ and the symbols <>=.

This week we have begun to learn how to use the internet safely. It would help to remind your children of a few things when they are using internet devices: do they remember to ask a grown up to use it? Can they tell a grown up what they want to use it for? Do they know what to do if they see a pop up, or something that worries them?

Children need to come to school in their PE kit on Thursdays. This includes tracksuit bottoms, a jumper, socks and trainers (we will be doing PE outside- and it’s getting rather chilly now!)
