Jemison Class update

This week we have had a more ‘normal’ week at school doing some fantastic learning. We have been continuing our writing in first person; pretending we are a flea – Vlad, who has just witnessed The Great Fire of London! We’ve been writing very dramatically using exclamation marks and capital letters to show the seriousness of the situation. We also have had to write in the past tense, thinking about how some words change depending on the tense. For example tear to tore! So much to learn in English… In Maths this week we have been learning about place value. How many tens are in a number and ones. We have been drawing this using our denes blocks for inspiration, then comparing the two numbers using the greater than, less than and equals to symbol.
