We’ve had another busy week in Earhart Class learning all about the life of a pirate! We’ve been writing recounts from the perspective of pirates on our very own ship, the Earhart. It turns out being a pirate isn’t all about searching for treasure – we also have to scrub the decks, load the cannons, climb the crow’s nest and keep a look out for enemies using our telescopes! In Maths, we have been learning to tell the time, and we are doing an amazing job of telling the time to the hour as well as half past, quarter past and quarter to the hour. We’ve been scientists in our Topic lessons this week, as we’ve been learning all about the basic needs that animals have for survival (food, water and air). We’ve also been looking at the Eatwell Guide, as it turns out we also need a balanced diet to stay healthy (sadly, we learnt that we can’t survive on only chocolate!).
