Bumblebee Class weekly update

We have had some fabulous Welly Walks this week where we have been looking for signs of Winter and also the different types of homes that we have been learning about in Topic. We would love the children to bring in a photo of their home so that we can have an interactive display within the Classroom. These can be emailed to me or the office. Everyone has been really excited to tell us about their homes and who belongs in them. We have learnt that all families are different and this is part of our identity and our sense of belonging. In Phonics we have been introduced to Green Froggy ‘ee’. In maths we have continued to investigate how numbers to 5 are made – this week we learnt that if we know how many objects there are we can work out how many we can see and how many are hidden. We have also investigated balance scales looking at heavier and lighter; capacity, where we practised fill containers so that they were full, nearly full, empty and nearly empty. It’s been a very busy week!
